Tidbits of Nothing Post

When I was dusting my sewing room I realized I had not shared these cross stitched quilt blocks. You can easily see by the color they are dated. There was a time when I was quite a cross stitcher. I made a few sets for gifts and I kept these for myself.

I have told you I don't own any animals and I have shared the fact that the neighbors beagle pup and two kitties visit often. Their visits have become a daily ritual and when they get tuckered out I can find this in my front yard; Lexie is just plain tired and taking in the warmth of the sun.

...and then there is today when I happen to look out on my back patio deck and find this! Too funny!! I did say...I don't have any pets!

Another Secret Reveal

Several weeks ago I quilted this top but did not want to show it on my blog until the owner was able to see it in person. I knew that I would be meeting her at Jo Club yesterday. (see yesterday's post if you want some Jo!)

This was a challenge quilt for me with those prairie points on the outside borders.

I added a bit of whimsy with some butterflies.

The quilt started out as a round robin of borders with her sewing group. She initially made the center and it grew from there.

Jo Club Today!

This little mini quilt (looks larger here) is wonderful tiny pieces using all the "toast" line of Jo's with black. Quilt named "Burnt Toast" made by my friend Shirley.

Today's show and share was off the charts wonderful! Here are just a few of the photos I took. I absolutely fell in love with the "Tuffet" made from Jo Morton fabrics. The shop owner says it will be a class in the near future. If I had a kitty this would be her tuffet. Does anybody know who's pattern this is? I remember seeing a blog post somewhere about these tuffets and now I haven't a clue where I saw it. Update: Pattern Here

This stitchery pattern was SOLD OUT! It is a Kathy Schmidt pattern. Loved it!!

This quilt is better in person than the photo. Bummer I didn't get a better photo and especially of how she did the side setting triangles with the basket blocks.

Simply red and white was very striking!

This Jo member made just a few signature blocks and turned them into a wonderful pillow cover.

This quilt....OMG...this one I want! It is a Kim Diehl pattern with BIG STITCH for quilting.
I was able to reveal a surprise today and will post about it tomorrow.

A Secret Revealed

First before the secret reveal I want to mention that the above quilt made by Barb is offered as a giveaway! Please go check out all the excitement and tell her I sent you. I won't get me any more entries; I just want her to know you were here.

Awhile back a fellow blogger Darlene was feeling a wee bit low and several of us other bloggers were missing her terribly and wanted her back in full swing of quilting. One of the things I had been busy quilting couldn't not be shared here because of the secrecy. You can read more here and you'll find an adorable embroidered quilt too! Also when you visit Darlene's blog check out her FREE pattern.
Now I'm off to Jo Club today and will be able to share another secret reveal post!
